从2000年以来，中国钢琴家郎朗在世界乐坛扬起一阵旋风，引领出钢琴演奏的新风潮。到2008年北京奥运的热潮领航，各个领域的器乐家，都有许许多多的新生代争相模仿郎朗。为他特别量身打造的乐器或是限量鞋款等等，几乎郎朗本身就是一个品牌。
本辑是将郎朗在DG录音当中，拉赫曼尼诺夫的演奏重新整理成辑。包括有第二、三号钢琴协奏曲，帕格尼尼主题狂想曲与第二号钢琴奏名曲等共计两片CD。
